Ivan Cardona is a senior level communication strategist and an assistant professor at Hofstra University. He currently teaches several undergraduates and graduate public relations courses in the Department of Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations and works closely with the graduate programs at the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication. Cardona is also a member of the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s Public Relations Division, the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island and an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. His research interests include integrated marketing communication (IMC), branding and brand relationship management, international public relations, and cultural dimensions within the public relations discipline.

Angie Comas, tourism specialist, has over 25 years experience in the travel industry and tourism. She has served as Sales Representatives, Specialized Markets Manager, Director of Research and Development and Assistant Executive Director of Domestic Tourism. She has bachelor’s degrees in economics and government at Georgetown University and an MBA Travel and tourism development of George Washington University.

Astrid has more than 30 year of experience in her field. Among the different positions she occupied she was the Director of human resource of Panamerican Grain, with more than 500 employees.
Also in the public sector she was the director of administration and human resource of the Puerto Rico Government Health Plan and during more than 20 years she experience around various top management positions related to human resource and administration field. Lora J. Espada is a lawyer-licensed, notary public and certified professional coach. She has been practicing law for 27 years. She has specialized in private corporate law, governmental and municipal fields. With an extensive experience in matters of private and government obligations and contracts law, labor relations and human resources, development and managerial training, transformation of teams through teambuilding, mentoring and coaching. Espada has been professor of business administration, ethics and social-business responsibility. Has held various positions in government and has rendered professional services to several municipalities, agencies and public corporations. Attorney Espada has been a member of several Board of Directors and is currently President of MujerPR, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable development goals (ODS).
Event Planner
An expert with over 17 years of experience in Puerto Rico’s Hospitality Service Industry. His expertise includes area such as consulting, advise, instructor and certified Tours’ Guide by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Some of his many achievements are the development of the internal tourism guides of Puerto Rico’s 78 municipalities, highlighting the best attractions that promote the history, culture, adventure, nature and cuisine of the Island. For the past 15 years, Mr. Lara has been an expert organizing and planning special events. He is currently in charge of Mabudeg’s Team Building, Grassroot Campaings and Event Planning divisions. Mr. Lara has a BA in Tourism Administration and Telecommunications from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sector. He is a consultant in Organizational Development and Communications. In the academic field, he is a professor in the subjects of administration, communications and social sciences. He’s an expert in leadership training and other topics related to management to individuals and companies especially in hospitality, tourism and government sector. Designs and offers training in customer service, public speaking, development of the supervisor as a leader and time management, among others.
